A year in Review...

I have 3 half finished posts I've been working on since last October. I want to get back into this, and use it as a way of keeping track of what we do as a family and our homeschooling.

I'll do a real quick rundown of things that have gone on since Kale was born, and then I'll work hard at finishing the other two posts and get them up. (I may add pictures later; I don’t have time right now :o)

September went by so fast. We skipped out on schooling until October so Kale could get into a routine and Momma wouldn't be so tired. We started up our Home school Coop with our church community 2 weeks after Kale was born. MOPS also started up around that time. It wasn't too difficult fitting Kale into our lives because 'what’s one more, when you already have to shuffle 4 out the door' plus he was usually sleeping anyway. :o)

Introducing...

Kale Dominic Burton!!!!!
Kale Dominic BurtonKale Dominic Burton

Born September 1st, 2010 at 8:20am. Weighing in an hour later at 7lbs 6oz, and was 19.5inches long. He's healthy, happy (sometimes), and has slid right into our family. Praise God!!

All of our children's birth stories have been a bit different. James's was textbook labor and delivery, with medical intervention problems after he was out. Salah was born 9 minutes after arriving at the Midwife Center, Liz was closer to 15, and Teagan was within an hour. But Kale had to top them all, he wanted to be sure to start early with making his mark in our lives and on the world!!

Clinch Family Vacation...

Clinch Family Vacation Summer 2010…
Well, we’ve just said our goodbyes and see ya laters to the last of our out of town family that we’ve had here for a week and a half. We had so much fun with everyone, and we all are looking forward to the next one, hopefully next year sometime.
For a recap and some pictures read below.

Spring wrap up...

The week before Memorial Day we decided to take a quick, much needed family vacation up to Niagara Falls, Canada.

Spring has sprung...

The daffodils are blooming, the birds are chirping, the sun is shining, and it's been warm enough to be swimming the past few weeks. No, we haven't got our pool ready yet, but there have been days where a quick dip in the pool would've felt REAL nice! ;o)

The Fawn...

I received the following devotion from a friend of mine, and as a mom - especially a stay at home, homeschooling mom - I found it full of encouragement, so I thought I'd pass it on. Let me know if it encourages you as a parent.

Snow, Snow, Snow SNOW....

We're FINALLY having winter here in the 'Burgh. We've lived here for 5 1/2 years and we've never had this much snow, and we're not even done yet!

So how much snow have we gotten?

Ooops, We did it again!!!

We're expecting Burton baby # 5.... We found out on Christmas, and we're due in September... :o)
