Snow Days

There are two really cool things about being married to a teacher. One being that he has the summer off, and the second one being snow days!

 We were blessed to have two last weeks, and two more this week. It has been a lot of fun, and David was able to spend some time in the snow with the kiddos. Last week they spent a morning, and played and made a snowman. (I was inside with the littlest one :o) and this week we were all able to play out side, and make snow angel's and go sledding down our driveway. Tons of fun!!!

Although with snow comes cold.

Family coming...

My mom, Cynthia, gets in tonight at 11:30pm from DC. We are excited to have her here for a few days. She was able to spend sometime with Nic and Megan last weekend, and will be here until the 25th. It should be a lot of fun, and good to see her again in such a short time. :o)

If anyone else would like to visit, we have room for you, and like family, would love to have you!!!

Be thou my vision

(some may have read this on my online journal, but I think it is definetly worth posting again!)

I love the song and the meaning behind the words. Just thinking about having Christ as my vision in EVERYTHING I do, is such a wonderful, uplifting thought.

Be Thou my Vision, O Lord of my heart;
Naught be all else to me, save that Thou art
Thou my best Thought, by day or by night,
Waking or sleeping, Thy presence my light.

Be Thou my Wisdom, and Thou my true Word;
I ever with Thee and Thou with me, Lord;
Thou my great Father, I Thy true son;
Thou in me dwelling, and I with Thee one.

So, I've gotten on here several times to type about something several times in the last few weeks, but usually when I get started, my son takes something from my daughter, and she screams, then I yell to them to share, and they say yes mom... then I come back only to realize that it has happened again! sheesh! but some of the things I've wanted to talk about are as follows:

Baby sounds and smiles

Potty training fun

To do or not to do

Snow days

Family coming

Be thou my vision

Those are just a few, and here in the next few days I'll try and post about them. So for now, just hang in there, more interesting posts are coming.

 God has blessed us with snow, not a whole lot mind you, but enough to let two toddlers out and have a blast with it!

 I snagged some good shots of the kids trying to catch the snow on their tongues and some plain old fun in the snow.

Winter Wonderland

I hope you enjoyed getting a glimpse of our 'little bit of winter'. :o)

We're Home...

 The past two weeks have been a wirlwind of activities...

 The day before we left I was running around making sure everything got done, I even made a quick trip down town to drop off some Pampered Chef stuff to a customer. David had a High school dance that he had to shaperone from 7-11pm that night, so we left on Friday, the 22nd, at 11:30am and arrived in Rapid City, SD at 8am on the 23rd. Which was a surprise to all of us. We made excellent time through Chicago, Minnesota, and South Dakota. No bad weather at all, Praise Him! When we arrived we had  12 people (us 5, parents, Nic and Megan, her brother Colin, Taylor, and our Aunt Patricia from Denver) in a smallish house all trying to keep sane, the rooms were over flowing, but everyone was cherry for the most part.

Party Time!!!

We are leaving for Rapid City, SD on Friday in the AM. My parents are throwing their annual Christmas Eve party on the 24th. The info is as follows:

Family of 5

Hey everyone!

Life is getting busier and busier with more kids... But we are LOVING IT!!! These past few weeks have been a bit more hectic for me, but I’ve survived, and by golly I’ll continue to. :o)

Thursday was Thanksgiving, and Yes, we had a lot to be thankful for! David and I (mostly David) prepared the turkey dinner. We had turkey, Stuffing, mashed potatoes, gravy, green bean casserole, peas, cranberries, homemade potato rolls, and homemade pumpkin pie with cool whip. We ate at 7pm.<!--[if gte vml 1]> <![endif]--><!--[if !vml]--> late I know, but hey we still got to eat it, and we had enough leftovers for the weekend.
